5 out of 5 stars It really will rock your curls!!   November 23, 2008

There are many products for curly hair on the market (and I've tried many of them) but this is the best one I've ever used! I noticed the difference as soon as I put the product in my hair. It felt softer and silkier. It doesn't dry stiff like some other products. It makes my curls appear shinier and smoother with much less frizz! It also smells nice. I sometimes combine this product with a firm holding gel like Biolage Gelee if I need more control (like on humid days).

I can find this product locally for about $14.99 + tax per bottle. The 2-pack price here of $20 (with no tax or shipping) is a great deal.

I love this stuff!

I love this stuff!!! I have long curly hair and had been using Biolage Gelee for years and was used to crunchy hair. I, like all natural curlied haired woman, have tried every "curly hair" product out there so I was very skeptical. A hair stylist tried the amplifier on my daughter's hair so I thought I would try it on myself. It gives me the hold I want without the crunch or frizz. It also has made my hair more managable when I wash it. You don't need much either, which is a huge plus.

5 out of 5 stars keeps the curls formed   December 17, 2008

I have very, very thick, long, naturally curly hair. I need a product that will keep the frizz and volume down. This is the best product I've come across. Yes, it goes on sticky and you have to wash your hands rather well after it's application. However, your hair turns soft and tame after it dries. I squirt two pumps in my hands, bend over with my hair to the ground, and shake/scrunch in the product. I let my hair air dry and it turns out perfect every time. If your hair gets "crunchy" when dry, you've added too much. This product not only saves me primping time, it has made my curls look gorgeous! I'm on the Amazon purchasing plan. I get 2 bottles, every 3 months, mailed to my door for the low price of $17 (no shipping or tax!). I have not found it for a better deal anywhere else!

Curls Rock was recommended to me when I first started getting my hair permed, almost five years ago. My hair is naturally wavy, frizzy, and hard to manage. I've tried other curly hair products since then (Fructis, Biolage, Suave, Aquage, and others) but I've never found anything that outperforms Curls Rock. I found I don't even need to invest in the other components of the Curls Rock styling system. I just work 2-3 pumps of the Amplifier into my hair (towel-dried just enough so it doesn't drip, and either combed with a wide-toothed comb or not combed at all) and dry it with a diffuser (standing up until it's mostly dried, and then also bending over for body) or let it air dry. Depending on the amount I use and the way I dry it, my hair will either end up with a natural look and feel or harder, crunchy, very-defined curls. I like both styles.

A problem I have with most products is that my hair can very easily look greasy if I use the littlest bit too much, and this doesn't ever seem to happen with Curls Rock. On rainy days, I might put more product in my hair to keep it from getting frizzy, and on dry days, I focus on the length of the hair more than the roots.

One last thing: it doesn't build up in my hair like other products do, so I don't have to use any special clarifying shampoos to strip the crud off my hair. Because it doesn't build up, the product keeps working every time I style it, whereas it used to seem that my hair 'got used to' other products and stopped responding to them after a while. I can reliably use this product day in and day out and know it'll work just like it did years ago.

I have curly, dry, ethnic hair. I've tried any number of products, as most of us have. I've been using Curls Rock for about three years now. It provides good curl definition and controls frizz. There is no real fragrance. Use too much, and it'll make your hair crunchy, but just scrunch a bit to loosen it up. The container, with my mass of hair, lasts for about 2-3 months.

A hint: After you apply the product to wet hair, don't touch your hair again until it is completely dry. Otherwise, you're opening the door to frizz and loss of curl definition. After it's completely dry, spray some Biosilk Shine On directly onto your palms and scrunch your hair with your hands to add shine and loosen up the curls so they look softer.

There are a few other products that are competitive with this one for girls with curls. DevaCurl and Curly Pudding are two that get a lot of praise. But you won't be disappointed with Curls Rock. It's easier to find in local stores, the price is good, and it works well.
